		<description>Here is the sad thing... I am a lifetime Kansas native, and only learned of Parks shortly before he died. I grew up my whole life here without knowing about one of our national treasures, a Kansas native son I never heard of. 

I&#039;ll spend the rest of my life introducing people in my state to him, his life and his work.</description>

This is great stuff, and it&#039;s wonderful to be able to look at some of these photos with this biography in mind.I think we still take for granted those who walked before us, with great difficulty to ensure better treatment of all humans within our society.</description>
